Howdy there, I once came across this idiomatic phrase "Delight feel complimentary to reach out to u.s. once more if you have whatsoever farther questions" as an alternative to "Please feel free to contact us again if...," and wish yous could tell me if "reach out to" in this sense has any validity in both AE and Exist, and if it's safety to use in whatever levels of spoken communication and writing. Thank you for any aid you can provide.

To 'attain out' implies an urgent need for help. You might reach out to someone if yous were in trouble or a desperate situation. You might also reach out to someone who was in trouble, in an effort to help them. It sounds odd to reach out to someone purely to ask a question.

To 'contact' someone is merely to become in touch with them. This seems more advisable in this context.

The rather sudden appearance of "attain out" as a synonym for "contact" or "get in bear upon" is one of my pet peeves (I take taught ESL and a couple of foreign languages for years). Virtually no one in the U.Southward. used information technology this way until recently. (I pray that the rest of the English-speaking world remains immune.) Equally heypresto says, "accomplish out" implies some sort of mental or emotional connectedness, in a situation that may well be desperate, bleak or urgent. By reducing the expression to a synonym for "contact," users diminish the range of expression in the linguistic communication. I suspect that this usage may take come up from a phone company commercial of a few years dorsum with the slogan "reach out and impact someone." Or mayhap a company thought it would audio more than personal than "contact." Whatsoever the case, it smacks of commercialism. Annotation that all the examples provided higher up are commercial or bureaucratic.
For me, this is right upwards there with "imply" for "infer" or expressions like "a couple times" or "a couple things" instead of "a couple OF..."
